Preparing for Peru

I am about to set off on my next adventure. Volunteering in Arequipa, Peru.

AfID, Accounting for International Development, have arranged for me to assist an organization named HOOP – Helping Overcome Obstacles Peru, a registered NGO working to break the cycle of poverty through education in the Flora Tristan community of Arequipa, Peru.

I will be posting some pictures and writing about my experiences here.

My first challenge is of course packing! I pride myself on having everything I need whenever I travel, needless to say I don’t pack lightly! I also don’t like to take more than I need. With the invaluable assistance of Hitha‘s packing guide I have a checklist that has not failed me yet.  Doesn’t stop me stressing out a little.
